AEG Reviews Campaign: Terms and Conditions

1. The AEG BUY*REVIEW*WIN Promotion.
Stand a chance to win 1 of 30 AEG or Electrolux Appliances* to an average value of R8,999 based on the Recommended Retail Price* (“the Promotion”).

ii. Please email us at marketingza@electrolux.com if you do not understand any part of these terms and conditions or if you have any questions about these terms and conditions or the promotion.
iii. By entering the promotion, all participants confirm that they have read and agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions.
iv. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform.
2. WHEN DOES THE PROMOTION START AND END, WHAT ARE THE MECHANICS?
i. The promotion period runs from 01/08/2022– 31/10/2023.
ii. The Competition commences on 01 August 2023 and ends on 31 October 2023, both days inclusive. The Competition closes at 23:59:59 on 31 October 2023.
3. The Mechanic/How to Enter:
i. Purchase any AEG / Electrolux appliance from a selected participating retailer.
ii. Email a photograph of your receipt/ invoice to marketingza@electrolux.com, the subject must read “Reviews” on the body of the email, please provide us with your name, surname, best contact number and store where you purchased.
iii. Review your purchased product on www.aeg.co.za or on the participating retailer's website and and attach a screenshot of your review.
iv. AEG / Electrolux South Africa reserves the right to change the duration of the promotion, subject to these terms and conditions, if it is deemed necessary due, for instance, to circumstances beyond their control such as acts of God, changes or new interpretations of legislation, or any other unforeseen event.
4. WHO MAY ENTER THE PROMOTION? (WHO QUALIFIES FOR ENTRY INTO THE DRAW?)
ii. The Competition commences on 01 August 2023 and ends on 31 October 2023, both days inclusive. The Competition closes at 23:59:59 on 31 October 2023.
3. The Mechanic/How to Enter:
i. Purchase any AEG / Electrolux appliance from a selected participating retailer.

iii. Review your purchased product on www.aeg.co.za or on the participating retailer's website and and attach a screenshot of your review.

AEG / Electrolux South Africa reserves the right to change the duration of the promotion, subject to these terms and conditions, if it is deemed necessary due, for instance, to circumstances beyond their control such as acts of God, changes or new interpretations of legislation, or any other unforeseen event.
4. WHO MAY ENTER THE PROMOTION? (WHO QUALIFIES FOR ENTRY INTO THE DRAW?)
i. South African citizens, as well as legal foreign nationals in South Africa may enter the promotion.
ii. Entrants must be 18 years or older.
iii. Consumers purchasing their AEG appliances at participating retailers (the “Participating retailers) only residing within the boundaries of the Republic of South Africa
iv. By entering this Competition, all participants and winners acknowledge that they have the legal capacity to enter and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Promoters. The Promoters’ decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. WHO MAY NOT ENTER THE PROMOTION?
ii. Any retailer or supplier of goods and services in connection with this promotion.
iii. The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above.
6. THE PRIZES
ii. *Main prize may not be transferred into cash
iii. Winning entries will be randomly selected by AEG / Electrolux. All winners will be notified via telephone (on the number they have given upon entry of the competition), after successful vetting of the said entry.
iv. Winners would be required to provide us with further information including but not limited to customer’s physical address where the prize would be delivered to.

5. WHO MAY NOT ENTER THE PROMOTION?
The following persons may not take part in this promotion:
i. AEG and Electrolux employees i.e., director(s), member(s), partner(s), employee(s), agencies(s), or consultant(s) relating to this promotion.ii. Any retailer or supplier of goods and services in connection with this promotion.
iii. The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above.
6. THE PRIZES
The prizes consist of:

iii. Winning entries will be randomly selected by AEG / Electrolux. All winners will be notified via telephone (on the number they have given upon entry of the competition), after successful vetting of the said entry.
iv. Winners would be required to provide us with further information including but not limited to customer’s physical address where the prize would be delivered to.

i. Review your purchase on www.aeg.co.za or on the website of the participating retailer (provided that the retailer has a reviewing option on their website)
ii. Save your email entry and submit a screenshot of your saved review to qualify as a successful entry.
8. PRIZE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
ii. Prizes are limited to one per customer.
iii. The promoter reserves the right to request a Participant’s ID document and physical proof of purchase before handing over a prize to confirm the winner’s identity and product purchased.
iv. Only those entrants whose purchases are registered successfully and who include all requirements in their e-mail entries will be eligible for a prize.
v. The “prize” is, 1 of 30 AEG or Electrolux Appliances to the average value of R8,999 based on the Recommended Retail Price (10 winners every month for 3 months)
vi. The promoter will not be responsible for ensuring the products or any additional costs relating to the usage, delivery of the products or upkeep of the products selected on or before the handover of such products unless falling within the AEG / Electrolux range warranties.
vii. The Grand Prize is neither transferable nor redeemable for cash or any other prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.
viii. The winner will be notified via telephone (on the number they have given upon entry of the competition) and the “prize will be delivered to the agreed address provided by each lucky winner.
ix. The Grand Prize must be handed over on such date and at such place as determined by the Promoter in its discretion. The Promoter is not liable for any costs incurred by a winner in claiming or utilizing the Prize. Liability falls upon the winner the instance the prize is handed over.
x. The Prize will be awarded to the person that entered the competition and who is in lawful possession of a valid till slip, valid driver’s license and a valid South African ID Document
xi. Winners will be required to identify him or herself by presenting a valid South African ID book, before the Prize can be redeemed.
xii. It is then deemed the prize winner’s responsibility check the working order of the product and has up to 7 days to report any fault of the unit to marketingza@electrolux.com

9. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS:
i. The prize winners will be contacted on the cellular mobile number that was used to enter the competition, on the day of the draw.
ii. The Promoters will randomly select the winners from all the entries received.
iii. The Promoters will conduct a verification process.
iv. If the winner cannot be contacted after 3 tries on the day of the draw, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next eligible winner.
v. The Promoter will require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure document to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with the rules and the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with these rules for any reason, such winner will be automatically disqualified. The winner may be required to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity before claiming the prize. The Promoters may collect, store and use (but not share) any personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes.
10. Winners will be required to provide:
i. Proof of purchase / receipt
ii. Proof of a validly submitted review
iii. Copy of a valid South African ID
iv. Should the winner not be able to provide these documents to the Promoter upon request, they will be disqualified.

11. ANNOUNCING OF WINNERS
i. The draw for prizes will take place within 21 days after the promotional period ends.
ii. All winners will be announced within 21 days after the promotional period ends.
iii. The Organisers decision is final, and binding and no further correspondence shall be entered into.
12. GENERAL
i. By entering the promotion Participants give permission for their name and surname, as their photograph to be posted onto the AEG / Electrolux South Africa Website, Facebook and Instagram pages, as well the Participating Retailers Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter accounts, and to be used in other public announcements of the winners, as well as in future promotional material, unless a winner expressly asks AEG not to do so.
ii. The Promoter has the right to end this promotion at any time. If this happens, promoter will publish a notice on Facebook and all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have with regards to this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no rights against the promoter.
iii. The promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the promotion.
iv. It is each Participant’s responsibility to check the websites for amendments to these terms and conditions.
v. Participants will not hold the promoter liable for any technical errors originating from the promoter, the hosting website, retailer websiters, Facebook.com or any other service provider.
vi. Should any Participant be found to be in contravention of any of these terms and conditions or in the opinion of the promoter, be engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promoter, then the promoter reserves the right to disqualify such a Participant on written notice.
vii. Information collected from Participants will be used by the promoter only and will not in any way be transferred or made available to third parties. The clauses in these terms and conditions are severable. This means that if any clause in these terms and conditions is found to be unlawful, it will be removed, and the remaining clauses will still apply.
viii. Wherever time has been referred to in these terms and conditions, it refers to GMT +2.
ix. These terms and conditions and the promotion are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
x. The promoter no liability for any further and or additional costs and/or expenses in relation to delivery of the prize, and the winner indemnifies the promoter, the Participating retailers, its Directors, employees, shareholders and agents against any claim of whatsoever nature howsoever arising.
13. DISPUTES
i. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the competition judges is final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
ii. The Promoter has the right to end this promotion at any time. If this happens, promoter will publish a notice on Facebook and all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have with regards to this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no rights against the promoter.
iii. The promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the promotion.

14. REJECTION AND FORFEITURE OF PRIZE
1. If the winner/s fail/s to comply with any of these rules or the terms of acceptance of the prizes, or if they refuse to sign the Promoter/s winner/s declaration or the Promoter/s winner/s prize acceptance form, this will be construed as a rejection of the prize and then, without prejudice to any other remedy which the Promoter/s may have, the winner will be automatically disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
