- WHEN DOES THE PROMOTION START AND END AND WHAT ARE THE MECHANICS?
- The promotion period runs from 1 Dec 2022 until 31 Dec 2022 or while stock lasts. The promotion commences on 1 Dec 2022 and ends 31 Dec 2022 or while stock lasts, both days inclusive. The Promotion closes at 23:59:59 on 31 Dec 2022 or while stock lasts.
All claims of vouchers need to be done before 31 January 2023 - no vouchers will be issued after the promotion has been closed.
a. AEG can terminate this promo at any time based on stock supply.
b. AEG reserves the right to withhold stock and pricing thereof

8. The Mechanic/How to Enter: - i. Purchase any of the below selected AEG product(s) from the selected participating retailer (Hirsch and Selected Independents): ** see point 12 for Participating retailers.

ii. Customer buys the selected model during the month of Dec 2022 (as per above mentioned dates on point 7)

iii. Customer emails Name, Surname, Phone Number and the invoice (proof of purchase) to: marketingza@electrolux.com -
iv. Upon successful verification of the purchase, customer will then get a notification to proceed on how to claim the Checkers Voucher

v. Customer will then get a virtual Checkers vouchers for each of the selected item.

vi. Customer can get Virtual Checkers Voucher via the below steps:
- Download Shoprite App and Choose Register My Money Market Account.
- Enter your details Including South African I.D or a Passport number.
- Create a 5 digit PIN
- Accept the terms and conditions and marketing info button
- Enter OTP (one time pin) received via SMS
vii. A Customer can buy as many of the selected promotional items (models) as needed
viii. AEG South Africa reserves the right to change the duration of the promotion, subject to these terms and conditions, if it is deemed necessary due, for instance, to circumstances beyond their control such as acts of God, changes or new interpretations of legislation, or any other unforeseen event.
ix. Once the capacity has been met, the retailer will be made aware and / or when the promo date has ended. All claims of vouchers need to be done before 31 January 2023 - no vouchers will be issued after the promotion has been closed.
9. WHO MAY ENTER THE PROMOTION?
I. South African citizens, as well as legal foreign nationals in South Africa may enter the promotion.
II. Entrants must be 18 years or older.
III. Consumers purchasing AEG selected cooking appliances at participating retailers (the “Participating retailers) only residing within the boundaries of the Republic of South Africa
IV. By entering this Competition, all participants and winners acknowledge that they have the legal capacity to enter and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Promoters. The Promoters’ decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. WHO MAY NOT ENTER THE PROMOTION?
a) The following persons may not take part in this promotion.
I. AEG and Electrolux employees i.e. director(s), member(s), partner(s), employee(s), agencies(s), or consultant(s) relating to this promotion.
II. Any retailer or supplier of goods and services in connection with this promotion.
III. The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above.

13. PRIZE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
I. AEG prizes cannot be transferred or converted into cash.
II. Prizes are not limited per customer, customer can buy as many *participating appliance from **participating retailer
III. AEG South Africa reserves the right to request a Participant’s ID document and physical proof of purchase before handing over a prize to confirm the winner’s identity and product purchased.
IV. AEG South Africa (Pty) Ltd will not be responsible for insuring the products or any additional costs relating to the usage, delivery of the products or up keep of the products selected on or before the handover of such products unless falling within the AEG range warranties.
V. The Prize will be awarded to the person that entered the competition and who is in lawful possession of a valid till slip, valid driver’s license and a valid South African ID Document. Winners will be required to identify him or herself by presenting a valid South African ID book, before the Prize can be redeemed.
14. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
I. The prize winners will be contacted via email address they used when sending their details: Name, Surname, contact number and invoice (proof of purchase) to marketingza@electrolux.com
II. Once valid proof of purchase has been verified, AEG will notify Checkers to issue a virtual Checkers Voucher to the customer.
a) Customer can get the Checkers Vouchers through the below steps:
i. Download Shoprite App and Choose Register My Money Market Account.
ii. Enter your details Including South African I.D or a Passport number.
iii. Create a 5 digit PIN
iv. Accept the terms and conditions and marketing info button
v. Enter OTP (one time pin) received via SMS
III. It is the sole duty of the customer to ensure the correct phone number is sent to the “organizer” of the promotion, otherwise AEG / Checkers would not be held responsible for the voucher not received or the voucher being sent to a wrong person.
IV. Participating Retailers Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter accounts, and to be used in other public announcements of the winners, as well as in future promotional material, unless a winner expressly asks AEG not to do so.
V. AEG has the right to end this promotion at any time. If this happens, AEG will publish a notice to participating retailer and all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have with regards to this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no rights against AEG. All claims of vouchers need to be done before 31 January 2023 - no vouchers will be issued after the promotion has been closed.
VI. AEG reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the promotion.
VII. AEG will publish changes to these terms and condition on AEG’s website.

- Participants will not hold AEG liable for any technical errors originating from AEG, the hosting website, Facebook.com or any other service provider.
- Should any Participant be found to be in contravention of any of these terms and conditions or in the opinion of AEGs, be engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of AEG, then AEG reserves the right to disqualify such a Participant on written notice.
- Information collected from Participants will be used by AEG only and will not in any way be transferred or made available to third parties. The clauses in these terms and conditions are severable. This means that if any clause in these terms and conditions is found to be unlawful, it will be removed, and the remaining clauses will still apply.
- Wherever time has been referred to in these terms and conditions, it refers to GMT +2.
- These terms and conditions and the promotion are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
- AEG accepts no liability for any further and or additional costs and/or expenses in relation to delivery of the prize, and the winner indemnifies Electrolux, the Participating retailers, its Directors, employees, shareholders and agents against any claim of whatsoever nature howsoever arising.
- DISPUTES
- In the event of a dispute, the decision of the administrator's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- REJECTION AND FORFEITURE OF PRIZE
- If the winner/s fail/s to comply with any of these rules or the terms of acceptance of the prizes, or if they refuse to sign the Promoter/s winner/s declaration or the Promoter/s winner/s prize acceptance form, this will be construed as a rejection of the prize and then, without prejudice to any other remedy which the Promoter/s may have, the winner will be automatically disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
